Heliopoly Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026 · Orbital Economics
Heliopoly is a single-device strategy game available on the web at heliopoly.live and as a native iPad app. This policy explains what data we handle.
Summary
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising SDKs and no sale of personal data.
- The iPad app plays fully offline from content bundled in the app.
- Game progress lives on your device (browser storage or app storage).
Native iPad app
The App Store build loads a packaged offline game. It does not require a network connection to play. We do not collect personal information through the native app for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
Website (heliopoly.live)
The browser game runs in your browser. Local game state may be stored on your device (for example localStorage) so a session can continue. Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) may be recorded by the host for security and operations.
Optional, anonymous game-end telemetry may be sent to our servers when enabled on the web product. That data is used to improve balance and reliability. It is not used to identify you across apps or websites for advertising, and it is not sold.
Children
Heliopoly is a general-audience strategy game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Open source
Our code is fully open source (MIT) and available to audit at https://github.com/diagonalcounty/heliopoly. Anyone can inspect how the game works and what the web client sends when optional telemetry is enabled.
Third parties
Source hosting is on GitHub (diagonalcounty/heliopoly). Visiting GitHub or Apple’s App Store is governed by those services’ own policies.

Changes
If our practices change (for example if the native app later enables optional telemetry), we will update this page and the App Store privacy labels before shipping that change.
